Since joining the lab in 2012, Mr. Petersen has been assigned the responsibilities as the lead test & evaluation engineer responsible for the research operations in our PNNL Lab Homes and Lighting Metrology Lab. In this role, Mr. Petersen is responsible for the design, planning, safe execution , and reporting of a wide range of test, measurement, and evaluation research activities being conducted in our facilities. Activities include designing and building data acquisition and control systems, troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions and equipment issues, developing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications, and performing in-field tests and measurements.
